Digital and Wireless Communications
Digital transmission over wireless and wired networks forms the bulk of research activities in the area of digital and optical communications. In these areas, a variety of research problems leading to more efficient and reliable communications systems are under investigation. The research topics in wireless networks include the study of propagation mechanisms over a wide frequency range, channel characterization and modeling, modulation, detection and estimation, indoor wireless network architectures, mobile cellular systems, equalization and diversity, and packet radio systems.
